Collateral Repair Project

Purpose:

  • To help refugees who have recently started moved to Amman, Jordan

Objective:

  • To provide basic necessities to newly arrived refugees

Targeted population:

  • New urban refugees who do not have sufficient money to buy basic necessities

Challenge addressed:

  • Emergency support and basic aid provided to urban refugees
  • Help ease immediate challenges including food insecurity and malnutrition

  • Helped to prevent food and other forms of insecurity
  • Provides urban refugees with greater autonomy and dignity

Impact on host community:

  • Refugees boost the local economy by spending their food vouchers in local markets

Conditions required:

  • Available funds to purchase essential items and cover the costs of food vouchers
  • Markets for refugees to be able to purchase provisions, including vendors who will accept food vouchers
