Penelope Silice


Penelope supports Urban Refugees in its development to ensure the growth and sustainability of the organization, notably by improving its positioning and its offer of innovative programs and services for the inclusion of urban refugees in humanitarian assistance policies and activities. Before joining Urban Refugees, Penelope has worked for several NGOs (ChildFund International, International Federation for Human Rights – FIDH) and multilateral institutions (European Commission, OECD) in the development of programmes and partnerships, which allowed her to acquire a holistic vision of the actors and methods implemented in the development aid sector. Of French nationality, Penelope has also lived in Canada and Senegal during her 5 years of professional experience. She is very committed to the protection of rights and the promotion of dignity, and strongly believes in the strength of collective action to improve the living conditions of all. Penelope is 28 years old and holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and International Project Management from UPEC Paris 12 University.
