Jovia Apio



Jovia supports the delivery of the URIP and COVID-19 Response programs in Kampala, Uganda. Prior to joining the UR team in July 2020, she worked in the nonprofit sector, in particular in emergency education, financial reporting and project operations, for four years. Holder of a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Makerere University (MUBS), Jovia has also been part of several African leadership fellowships and has written social action plans to support excluded rural communities. These include Tuwezeshe Akina Dada Fellowship, YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa program, Building Tomorrow Fellowship, and One Health Central and Eastern Africa -Makerere University Fellowship.
