Alix joined URBAN REFUGEES in 2021, to develop and promote the actions of the organisation in favor of urban refugees and refugee-led organisations across the world. She strongly believes that these refugee organisations are a unique means to make the voice of urban refugees be heard, and thereby enable them to access basic services and improve their living conditions.

She has close to 10 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sectors, particularly in West Africa, Madagascar and Bangladesh. She has supported the design and implementation of innovative solutions to improve education, protection and the social-economic integration of the most hard-to-reach populations in cities and in humanitarian camps. Through this, the absolute necessity to give a more central role to those most concerned by the aid has become obvious.

Alix has a Bachelor’s Degree from Cambridge University (UK) and a masters from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France).
